My girlfriend told me about this guy at her place of employment that was a "big sailor". She mentioned to him that I sailed/raced catamarans and he said that he had a Mac26.

When I found this out, I started laughing uncontrollably much to the bewilderment of said girlfriend.

I told her to tell the guy at work that Frank Mighetto says "hello." Apparently she got wadded up paper thrown at her.

Don't dis the Mac26. That trimaran needs an outboard before it can hit the fourth mode.

It can behave, after all, like a mothership to Hobie Cats....is very similar to small catamarans because both have an area designed for storing a cooler.

And the cooler can be used to hold water ballast when filled to assist the hull achieving that ethreal "fourth mode" whilst traversing the Pacific ocean, like the true "ocean passage pocket cruiser" that it obviously is

Also needs twin rudders...... And the fins on the outboard will help lift the bows like an I14.

That wasn't it Jake. It was that Coleman was the parent company of Hobie cat, and that the cooler on the Mac26 is a coleman, so there is an obvious link between the two. They shared a design heritage!

Things have really settled down on SA. Just about the only thing that is different from SA and here is that you are allowed to swear on the SA forum. Or should I say you are encouraged to swear.
