It looks Sweedish or Norwiegan. The translator pages may not work on it because it is a pdf document. You would have to use a program that can pull the text off of the pdf document and then translate it. Perhaps Wouter or Rolf could translate it for you.

Don't you have that huge Smyth squaretop, rather than the stock 17 sail? Wouldn't the trim be completely different? Randy's really good about providing trimming suggestions for his sails, at least he used to be. Good luck.

From the suffix on the URL, it's Netherlands, Dutch. Run it by Wouter.

Its Dutch.

And Doug run it by me, but I simply don't have the time to translate it for him, sorry.

Also the trim document is written by Jeff Alter, Wick, Smith and John Wezke (All american sailors) so I'm sure an English version exists. This document is most probabbly a Dutch translation of an English original.

Contact Hobie USA I would say.

It's probably from an old HOTLINE article - and at least 10-15 years old. None of those guys have raced a 17 in a long time. The info is outdated.

Hobie US doesn't keep track of this stuff. If it was ever in the HOTLINE, I have it - but I don't have time to wade through 50 back issues of the magazine to find it.

Sorry.

here's the text extracted from the PDF file. See attachment. I've also posted an html page with the text in it at http://www.teamseacats.com/jake/trimtipshobie17b.htm For some reason, bablefish doesn't like the webpage - but you can copy and paste pieces of the text for a Dutch to english translation here:
