You guys "down under" really do things differently than "up here". We use our boats upside down from you and we TOW our trailers, not push them. Weird, eh? It's the Fosters, I guess.

Hard to insure. But they do have kit car coverage for drivers that have regular cars they use on a daily basis.

Tow with a dune buggy. Or a three wheeled motorcycle (even better, a motorcycle with a side-car). THAT would turn heads.

I had one of those. I spent so much time getting those six figures that everything else became secondary.

I don't think that pick truck is much of a daily driver. Probably a trailer queen that see's some very expensive miles 300 ft at a time.

Is it the Aussie version of our GTO except four doors? Holden Monero, manaco something like that. Those are hot. I want one. Too bad they don't come in diesel. They're like 425hp here.

Here 'tis. There are some higher hp versions available but as work buys it for me, I did have to be a bit careful. I have driven a 307kw version back to back with mine. You can notice a difference however drive the two a few hours apart and the difference is very difficult to pick. Both leave the traffic way behind

307 kw? That close to 500hp. America gets screwed on all the cool rides. We get lame, watered down sports cars from Japan. Most of Europe's vehicles are diesel and there is almost nothing to choose from in diesel here. There's alot of models/options made by US manufactures that aren't available here either.

They are closer to 440hp but it's easy to get them really going. There is a version going stateside shortly and will be called the Pontiac G8. Essentially the same thing but they have put an ugly front on it to appeal to Americans . Don't know what the power spec is yet but think 270kw at a minimum. I believe they will be around US$25k and on sale sometime in August.

We have lost all kinds of things on the road, from whole boats to miscellaneous parts; but, as you said, that is for a different thread.

I can certify that a Hobie 18 will travel at 180 km/h (115 mph) without parting company when you are running late to a regatta. This was quite a few years ago though.
