Look, ultimately the RC has the say in what your portsmouth rating is. If you have made modifications that make your boat faster than the stock rating, your rating should go down. Surely you guys agree with that? What you are suggesting is that you should be able to play outside of the spirit of the rule.

No, I don't think a non-class-legal snuffer should take a .95 hit, but personally, I would not be pleased if I was one of five N20's to show up and a competitive boat in the fleet had several non class legal modifications without penalty.
