Not really. The whole reason why it was being towed like that is because I was on the towing boat, incapacitated, aka, injured.

Beg your pardon but your assnine assumption is entirely and utterly incorrect. John McKnight and Warren Green were in charge of the rescue boat (both knowledgable and capable), and while the uninjured crew at the time wasn't a veteran catamaran sailor, he has more than enough miles on a 505 in San Francisco bay to qualify for "knowledgeable/capable" so just stop ignorantly editorializing.
