Yeah, you don't need a 12-footer. In fact, I would contact the F17 fleet and pick up one of the old-style EO snuffers and a used two-patch 'chute - they've all graduated to smaller-diameter mid-pole setups and flatter, three-patch spinnakers, so I guarantee someone has it for cheap, sitting in the garage. Drop it straight onto the rig you have and enjoy the simplicity. Both the 5.0 and the 5.2 take a chute really well, hence the recent success of the Nacra 500 Sport.
