A while ago while righting the cat I heard a load crack when walking along the inside portion of the hull. (I am 175#, so weight may not have been an issue, although I also remember once climbing on top of the crew to get the leverage to right the boat). I can now tell that the inside hull opposite the centreboard is soft to the point that light hand pressure deflects the hull 1/2 to 1 in.
I have read previous posts in which other P19 owners have removed the decks to conduct repairs. I think this is the best way, but isnt the centerboard well glued to the deck?. The other option I think would be to open an access port (large in the 1 ft x 3 ft range) to strengthen the side, however, with the centerboard well in the way, this doesnt appear to be a viable option.

Any suggestions or words of wisdom in this area will be greatly appreciated.
