Here's a question: If I were to sail a boat that is almost a F16, but not quite would you, (either the racers at the event, or the RC), allow me to race with the F16's if it meant getting another boat there? Score me for each race, then at the end of the event DSQ me?
I've still got an FXone sitting in the basement, and a couple that would probably be interested in sailing the Viper. I could just call it the FXonesix.
No. The proposal submitted by the U.S.F16 Class association to GYC specifically calls for a separate start for F16s who are members of the U.S.F16 class association.
The FX-1 would sail in the open class as would any F16s who chose not to join the class association or do not have valid class certification.
