To resurrect this thread, a few of the top moth guys hit peak speeds above 31 knots during the recent moth worlds. And at these times they said it was a case of holding rather than pushing hard.

20 knots on the moth used a mythical club 4 or 5 years ago. That is now old school and if you can't get to 25+ then you aren't pushing hard enough. And 17 upwind is not unusual either...

So will be interesting to see how the foiling cat projects like White Dragons and the little Hypotere will fair as they develop along, and whether that trickles down to other cat classes or not.
