If you do this it will be easier to raise the mast. Tow it backward.

the proper way to tow a cat I'm convinced that rubs speed off the boat while towing! But, I did try that once and it worked pretty well. The bows hung way off the back of the trailer though. Eventually I got tired of the funny looks and went back to towing it normally.
