It is my assumption that you were in fact a liberal, basing it solely on the conversatin I was at in Racine WI last year, when you were explaining politics to that Canadian woman, and saying Karl was right a conservative, etc.
I was laughing inside, thinking that although it's not a competition, Karl is to the left of me!
