I think I know what you mean...

The local hobie dealer demo'ed one a couple of weeks ago. It took him about 4 tries to actually unlock the hook, and this was without any load. The idea is when you end up under the trampoline of a turtled cat you can unhook and swim away, IMHO it would be far easier/safer to unhook your harness manually.
