I was looking at using that same marina. What do you sail? Do you like the marina? We should get together next year and sail out there. Trey is in Raleigh and sails in Wheeler most of the time but we can get him to sail Jordan with his club, maybe.
I launched from the marina finally, I had been going to Vista Point during the winter because I like having other people out there when its cold. The ramps at the marina seemed nice and there is a small sandy beach right next to them that you can rig the boat on. I liked sailing the north end of the lake too, it is probably not as wide open, but it is longer. I am leaving the mast up now so I will look forward to having very quick setup next time I head out. If you are not keeping your boat there it is $10 to launch during the summer.
