I know the season isn't over for everyone. Just trying to inject a little humor here...

I can't believe no one has commented on my elf idea. That's funny stuff right there...

It is funny but we have Tradewinds, Charlotte Harbor and GYC on the radar.

Incidentally, I got an email from Brian Gleason at Charlotte Harbor asking how many are planning on coming and offering storage. Seems they're looking to expand our course in anticipation of an even larger crowd than last year.

If you are able to make tradewinds, I'm sure that "Man-kini's" significant other would fit the "elf" part, although she wears significantly less than said outfit.

I didn't think Chewbacca existed until now. And I can't get that horrible image out of my brain with a belt sander and 80 grit.

But, it's those little touches that makes sailing in the Keys that much more memorable.

Into the egg nog a little early are we?

Don't start "man kini" stuff with me. I've found a whole bunch of "Borat" stills I'm sure some of these guys would love to see.

well, the only reason I looked in that area was because of his lady-friend (who's attire was almost as much as his), but man, that was a steep price to pay...

Props to both of them for the nadz to be out in public like that.

Technically Lee is correct since hobie doesn't promote catamaran sailing really. They promote hobie sailing which isn't bad by itself... but when your official events don't include catamarans other than hobies, the efforts seem rather self serving.

That knife cuts both ways. You don't see Jill and Robbie promoting Hobie sailing, so their efforts seem rather self serving, especially since they sell AHCP product.

Just when the thread was about to die an ignominious death, you and Bob had to poke a stick in it again.

Red Gear accepts any boat into their seminars. I've attended two with my Blade. Further, Jill has returned every phone call and email I've ever made to her, and she's pulled me out of the drink twice.

You may want to remind HCA of rule 1.1.

Guys -

Let's drop this. It is ugly and divisive to the sport of catamaran sailing/racing. Good folks on all sides of the arguement are getting bashed that should not be and it is becoming uncivil behavior that can occur when you are not in the same room. Let's not have it escalate any further.....I am a child that is a product of divorce sick

I am pretty sure we've promoted open events in our magazine, listed tons of Non class sponsored events on it as well and encouraged Hobie class members to attend all local multihull regattas as well as invite the IWCA guys (a really nice group of people I might add) to every event we can get away with it at. I could run naked through the streets with a huge flag saying 'Catamaran Sailing' on it if that would make you happy. I guess having it say 'mixed multihull' would probably be better......I am just trying to help here...maybe get a huge tattoo of a Cougar Catamaran on my back? Have 'Karl' shaved into the side of my head (no hair up top). Let me know what works, okay? smile ( I am being sarcastic only because I thought it would be funny as **** to be running around naked with a flag saying Catamaran Sailing on it.)

They do promote the hell out of the F16 above the Viper, not our fault Hobie or Hobie Cat Europe doesn't build one.

I also don't see anyone else bringing their own powerboat to help out at events.

Gotta remember Fun in the Sun is not the manufacturer, all they do is bring them into the country.

I'm boatless.

OK...

My shopping is almost done.

My lights are up, even got the Wave on the front lawn lit up like a Christmas tree (literally).

We went to see Santa (twice, actually).

And I see that we're back to this nonsense... Guess I need to go find that elf...

You put a Wave in your yard? Brilliant!

I am not back to the nonsense. Sorry about giving you that impression. I was just fooling around.

The "Karl" on the side of the head (maybe both sides) would be a riot. On your "boys" might be more appropriate, just less attention grabbing.

Yes, no new picture yet; but here's what it looked like back when we had the Hobie 16:

Got the idea from a NAHCA News submission a few years ago. My dad called it "the beacon" because you could see it from at least a half-mile away...
