I was not trying to assess blame. I sail in a tea pot most of the time; however, I do venture to the open water a couple of times a year and would like to understand as best I can. Obviously, a boat going twice+ your speed is going to surprise anyone (closing speeds become a big factor). I did not mean to condemn your and Danny's efforts to sail safely.

You guys probably felt like the Snipes and Lasers that I share a race course with. They used to try their monohull tactics on me, but now they just let me go -as I'll be gone shortly.
