I guess nobody can claim to understand the planet, but we know that there is a limit to what we can burn, spend, use and waste, so we'd better start doing something to improve the situation.

Living in a country with cheap land available, I can always plant lots of trees.

This was one of the reasons why we started the first open capital cattle farm in the country, now with 16.000 Has (think of an area equivalent to 16 km X 10 km or 10 miles X 6 miles).

But I'm doing this for profit. Carbon credits trading in the local exchange is expected to start soon. And the primary goal is to profit from (related) land price appreciation, while keeping the cash flow positive with the cattle and reforestation.

When carbon credits start to trade, more and more people will buy land to plant trees. This will not solve all problems in the world, but will help. Also, together with increased demand for land to raise biofuel yielding crops, it will drive land prices up.
