In 1983, we had one of the coldest winters anyone can remember here in NE Texas. Small lakes froze over with enough ice that one could skate on it. I have a photo of my wife standing on the middle of a family pond. Highly unusual! The very next summer was one of the hottest on record with almost 50 consecutive days over 100 degrees and no rainfall in that period. Go figure. I am still not totally convinced about global warming in that it is caused by man. There is no doubt the earth goes through cycles. Although that does not mean I don't think people should do their part to help the planet. I would love to see people drive more fuel efficient cars, recycle, and not water their yard every day. Just my 2Cs worth.
