Lets be fair.. Al Gore never stated he "invented" the internet..
He stated he in an interview on CNNs late edition March 9, 1999 Gore replied in part
"During my service in the United States Congress, I took the initiative in creating the Internet. I took the initiative in moving forward a whole range of initiatives that have proven to be important to our country's economic growth and environmental protection, improvements in our educational system. "
The key is "initiative" not invent.. He sponsored the 1988 National High performance Computer act.. He co-sponsored the 1992 Information Infrastructure and Technology Act.. Without which, this site would not exist.. Without which you wouldn't be getting email.. It is his iniative that allows you to mud sling without knowledge.. Finally may I point out Al Gore is the recipient of the life time achievement Webby Awards in May 2005 for life time achievement for 30 years of contributions to the internet.. Strangely I havent seen your name put up for selection..
You may not like Al Gore but get the facts correct if you wish to make a point about facts and science..
