Indeed, someone from the GC better answered this question right away (I'm not part of the GC however) as righ now we are getting in the unfounded rumour phase.
If you are referring to me, I am not part of the Governing Council (GC) either. I am just trying to communicate my understanding of how the venue for a Global Challenge is choosen/decided. I was hoping that my message could start some small pebbles going downhill and make sailors decide to organize national associations and for others to join these. We need members and organisation, and we need it now! If anybody with a F16 here still have not applied for membership, go to
http://formula16.org/ and join up. In the future that will be the only way to have a vote when things are decided.
