I didn't measure the mast naked, only equipped with all the wires. the 9 kg are that, what Mr. Favre once told me (Maybe without mastfoot and sealed top just out of the autoclave).

The newer masts that ventilo builds, are made of bidirectional carbon rovings, not like the old ones witch use crosswoven carbon fabrics, they have a higher fibre to epoxy ratio and should be a little bit lighter than mine allready is.
