Down here that's called spitting the dummy, bad form when every single country had a waiting list of people wanting to attend just for the fun of it.
Agreed Bad form and bad sportsmanship
Agreed, Very bad form as people (I assume) were queueing up to go to the event. If I was the one on the list who did not meet the cut I'd be (just a tad) pissed off that someone just gave up.
I'm not defending their actions but just pointing out that there was not a waiting list for a slot in the US / Canada.
