Mc Lube the hell out of it. Our spinnaker lasted all season with obtaining only some minor tears.
Before setting out to sail, we raise the spinnaker then slowly begin to retrieve it. As it is going into the ring, I spray the spinnaker and ring – making sure to spray the areas where the most friction is occurring.
It worked really well for us last season. No major tears – and we did a lot of racing in all kinds of conditions. (Mostly buoy)
We do not have a silicon spinnaker either.
