Gero,
You may not have noticed it but the Pelican striker is beneath a compression strut going to the bridle apex. This will stop the pole in its upward movement.

I know that the voices in my head aint real,
but they have some pretty good ideas.
There is no such thing as a quick fix and I've never had free lunch!
