Mary, be careful about pepper spray indoors. Everyone (including yourself) will most likely be incapacitated.
I don't have spray. I have gel. Goes out in a string. I went into the store to buy a gun -- until I saw the prices. And I told the owner I didn't want to kill anybody, just incapacitate the bad guy long enough for me to wrap his whole body in duct tape.
