I agree my kids keep asking me what does the word “funk” or WTF stand for and I’m really getting tired of trying to explain. Well, you learn something new everyday. I thought funk meant "the blues", a depressed state.
Instead, my dictionary says, ". . . cower in fear".
Go figure. Gives "funky music" a whole new meaning.
