Tim, when I owned my blade, the first spin pole I had was short by six inches. With this shorter spin pole I could hoist my spinnaker all the way up. When I had to replace the pole I went to max length which is 12ft, but now my spinnaker would not reach the top. If I hoisted it all the way up it would bend the pole upwards. So I had to leave around six to eight inches off from the top.
