Ok, that leaves two questions on the difference between 12'10" and 12'. What will the weight difference of the complete package be (and what weight will mum have to lift on to the roof of the car) and what will optimum crew weight for the two different lengths be?
I recall (in the 20 or so times I've re-read all these threads) 0.6kg per hull difference between 3.66 and 3.9m length.
